Enjoy Your Day card for PTI May Blog Hop

It's Blog Hop time and this month PTI has a stunning inspiration piece!

I busted out my Lukas water colors and made a stencil from PTI's Chevron Cover Plate, so  I could use it to make rainbow stripes. I then pulled out my Wet Paint sentiments to create my sentiment.  Here's my card:

Be Merry card for MIM!

I'm back with a card for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday #248: Ink Blending through Die Cut Masks. I love the look of ink blending but struggle with it at times. It is a technique I am still trying to perfect, so this week's challenge was a good one to work on that. I went for a one layer Christmas card this time. This card was my second attempt because I was almost done my card and decided to add something and it just looked horrible and could not be undone or fixed, so back to square one and better success!

Another mother's day card for OCC Clear & Sheer Day 4

It's the last day of Online Card Classes' Clear & Sheer class! Day 4 featured more techniques for both acetate and vellum.  I went with using an embossing folder on acetate - LOVE THIS technique! I've done this before on vellum but did not like the cracking it left but acetate works so well!

Here's also a detail pic to see the embossing better:

This was such a fun class - as they all are!

I am also submitting this card to the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Anything Goes.

Mother's Day Peony Card for OCC Day 3

On to Day 3 of Online Card Classes' Clear & Sheer Class! Today's class featured acetate techniques and my I went with creating a clear card. I love making these types of cards! My card was also inspired by this card. I have been wanting to use my peony flower die for this and now was the time!

The card stock I used for the cover plate is  a little more lavender than the pic shows.
Thank goodness I have an old Xyron machine that I used for my adhesive for this! I wish I had an adhesive eraser to help but I have one on order and wait its arrival!

Thanks for visiting! One more card for class to go!

Ombre vellum card for OCC Clear & Sheer Day 2!

Day 2 of Online Card Classes' Clear & Sheer class featured a bunch of vellum techniques for your cards! I went for the coloring vellum technique. This one required a little practice but I got it and went for an ombre look.

I put a white panel on the inside of the card for a sentiment and it helped the front of the card pop more.

Celebrate! Card for OCC Clear & Sheer Day 1

Yay! Online Card Classes is back with another fun class - Clear & Sheer - working with vellum and acetate!I  recently discovered that I have a surplus of both vellum and acetate so I jumped on this class to utilize my excess supplies! I was not disappointed!

For Day 1, we learned multiple ways to attach vellum, which can be tricky, but I've learned some new ways to do it now! My card today attaches a vellum strip which showcases my card sentiment but does not take away from the busy background.

I went with a watercolor panel using this technique seen on the Simon Says Stamp blog. The panel is mounted with foam tape.

I am also submitting this card to the STAMPlorations Never-Ending Anything Goes Challenge
