Mother's Day is just around the corner, so I got a jump on my cards with PTI's Make It Monday. This week is Challenge #161: Watercolor Splats. Great technique- I've gotta make a masculine card with this technique soon! I am also submitting my card to CASology's challenge for Week #92: Garden.
Here's my card:
For my background I used PTI's Berry Sorbet and Raspberry Fizz and Memento's Lilac Posies. I also popped up the die cut.
Ingredients: PTI Friends Till the End, Happy Day; MFT Blueprints #11 (panel)
This month's challenge was to be inspired by embroidery.
This was a tough one for me as I'm not into the sewing arts BUT I finally found a pattern that spoke to me. I found this pattern by Ursula Michael and being that I LOVE snowmen I dove right in! I used a LOT of sentiments and love how this turned out!
Here's the inside of my card:
Ingredients: PTI Shape up Snowman, Winter Penguin, Tag Its #8, Holiday Tree, Peaceful Pinecones, Winter Cheer, Stylish Sentiments: Holiday, Peace Be Still, Happiest of Holidays, Think Big Favorites #9, Snowflake Impression plate; Studio Calico Mr. Huey's Calico Shine Mist; MFT Blueprints 11 (panel)
I love that Papertrey Ink created a monthly Inspiration Archive with sketches, color combos and tons of creative inspiration!!! For my submission into the April 2014 Inspiration Archive, I used the color combo for a cute Easter card.
Time for yet another Easter card with Reverse Confetti's super adorable Carton Cuties stamp/die set! This card was inspired by the current Curtain Call Challenge: Confetti Crush. Reverse Confetti is also the sponsor for this challenge.
Here's my card:
I don't know which I love more about this set - the CUTE egg carton OR the critters!!!
Thanks for visiting!
Ingredients: Reverse Confetti Carton Cuties; PTI Scrambled Eggs (sentiment), Chevron Vertical Cover Plate; Doodlebug Hello Spring pattern paper
Easter is right around the corner and I'm finishing cards to give. Today I have a cute card that I will give my niece with her Easter goodies. My card is inspired by the Cure for the Monday Blues Challenge #13:
Love the bunnies and eggs so I had my bunny "hide" some eggs for a hunt! Great challenge! Thanks for visiting!
Ingredients: Paper Smooches Magical Spring; Maude Asbury-Gabbie pattern paper; MS Grass punch
Time for Papertrey Ink's Make it Monday. For MIM #158, the technique is to stamp with watercolor mediums. I just bought a small pack of Distress Markers so I used those and a mini mister to create my watercolor stamped images.
The mister takes some getting used to and I was being conservative with my spraying here because in practice I sprayed way too much! I think the blue flower pulls off the watercolor effect best. I also lightly sprayed the sentiment to carry over the watercolor technique.
