Joy Christmas Shaker Card

My Christmas cards are coming along and I finally ventured into making a shaker card!!! I think it turned out ok - maybe a little too much shaker elements but it still works.  My card today is being submitted to WPlus9's Challenge: Throwback Thursdays #9.

I adore this stamp set! Here's the card I made featuring the santa and tree images:

Here's a detailed pic of the shaker:

The shaker has sequins, some mica flakes and these tiny clear beads I've had.  I stamped the images with Versamark ink to give a little definition of the image. For the card base I used SnowTex with a falling snow stencil. I like the chunky rough texture this gives and opacity versus using an embossing paste.

Thanks for visiting!

Ingredients: WPlus9 Iconic Christmas, Seasonal Sentiments; PTI Fabulous Frames; Simon Says Stamp Falling Snow stencil; Doodlebug pattern paper

  1. What a fun card, Lizzie! Love your mix of goodies in the shakers, especially the mica flakes, and your green and red palette is so deliciously festive! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and leaving me some love during the Reverse Confetti Creative Hop!
