Back again with more cards for class - whew what a busy crafty weekend! Today's card featured Julie Ebersole's Word Search technique with alphabet stamps. I made a fun card for my hubby.
I did add some sparkle with a little bit of Wink of Stella clear on the hearts.
Thanks for checking out my card!

More Day 6 SYS2 goodies!
Day 6 of OCC's Stretch Your Stamps 2 class was full of awesomeness! I adore Laura Bassen - she demonstrated an Over the Edge technique with tags -- CUTE idea! I created 2 tags displaying both techniques.
Thanks for checking out my tags. I'm still catching up in class so expect to see more soon!
Ingredients: PTI Friends Till the End, Tag Sale die #5, Mixed Messages

Day 6 card for SYS2!
Back with another card for OCC's Stretch Your Stamps 2 class - today's card features Debby Hughes' technique for Soft Stamping on Non-Paper!!! LOVE it! I adore Debby's style and techniques - she is for sure in my top 5 crafty gals list! Anyway as soon as I watched this I knew that I was going to use my new cork sheets from DCWV. The cork is pretty thin and very easy to die cut.
Here's my take on Debby's fab card and technique:
I used a tag die that has a border but it doesn't show well on the cork - I'm guessing it's too soft to keep the impression. I don't have Copic markers but I have a few Distress Markers and my Bic Mark-It markers so I used the Bic's to color the petals of the flower and my Crushed Olive Distress marker for the flower center. It blended quite nicely with little effort.
Here's detail shot:
I must try this technique again!!
Ingredients: PTI Friends Till the End, Tag Sale Die #3, Wonderful Words: Thank you, twine; Doodlebug Kraft in Color pattern papers

Day 5 card for SYS2!
I'm back again with another card for OCC's Stretch Your Stamps 2 class - this time I used Jennifer Rzasa's Easy Watercolor Outline & Debossing technique which features outline stamps. My outline stamp is PTI's Friends till the End - it's really the only fine line/artsy stamp set I have and it's also my most used/love stamp set! Anyway's here's my take on the technique:
Here are some detail shots:
I was sightly off when I stamped into the debossed area - my stamp is so well loved that it isn't completely clear anymore!
Thanks for checking out my card!

Card #2 for Day 3 of Stretch Your Stamps 2!
OK on to my next card for Day 3 of OCC's SYS2 class. This card utilizes Stephanie's Word Art Stenciling technique with sentiment stamps. OH how I heart this technique! I don't have any "scene" type stencils but I had recently made my own stencil using transparency and my Avery Elle Balloons dies so I used that.
Here's my card:
I love one layer cards that have fun techniques! Notice that stray turquoise balloon in the upper right corner? When I was shading my large balloon I missed protecting the corner and smudged ink in the corner, when I discovered my boo-boo I stenciled a naked (sans text) balloon to cover it up!
Thanks for checking out my card!

Card #1 for Day 3 of Stretch Your Stamps 2!
I have been busy making cards/tags for class - so much inspiration and so many fun techniques - some will have to wait for future use which is why I love these classes - lifelong techniques. Today my card features my alphabet stamps - I admit they don't much use unless I need to put a name on a card/tag but WOW was I blown away by Debby's Stamped Die Cuts technique! I knew instantly what to make - a Christmas card. And I LOVE IT!!!
Here is is:
I would have had this card posted earlier but I wanted to get a green distress ink for the tree, so I got more mini distress inks at Michael's yesterday (they only had #1 and #2 - side note: I was saddened by the variety of Tim Holtz goodies there -- and what they did have (minus the minis) were older items! no wonder I rarely go there when you can find everything online! end of side note).
Here is a detail shot:
I love the color combo I put together and LOVE the stars that were made with another technique that I think Debby showed in the Stenciled class - putting embossing powered on top of embossing paste! Yes Please!
Thanks for checking out my card!

Another Day 1 card for OCC Stretch Your Stamps 2 and for ME & Me!
I made another card featuring the Multi Layer Emboss Resist technique that Kristina showed us in class. The water colored panel didn't come out as clean as hers but I'm ok with it. My embossing seemed a little off too-maybe because of the design. I am also submitting this in the current Mama Elephant & Me August Challenge - Watercoloring + Birthdays.
Ok here's my card:
Here's a detail shot:
I bought some real water colors yesterday - they are Lukas Aquarell Studio - a travel size palette with 12 cubes of color (they are so cute!). I watercolored the panel and the balloons.
