Mix it Up Challenge Card

I love Ellen Hutson's Mix it Up Challenges, but I have limited EH sets to work with, so I was super excited when this month's challenge was to use products from My Favorite Things along with Ellen's. I don't have a ton of MFT goodies, but I have some great sentiment sets from them and decided on making a birthday card. YAY!

I just got some Brushos and decided on making a watercolored card with them. Check it out:

Here's a detail pic:

I white-embossed Mondo Magnolia on water color paper and then sprinkled Brushos over each flower and misted a bit to let the magic happen, also used a wet brush to fill in spots.

Thanks for visiting!

Ingredients: Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia; MFT Birthday Greetings, Blueprints #11 (panel), Layered Treat Tag (banner)

  5. This is a beautiful card! I am still trying to figure out all the powders...I'm too heavy-handed, I think. Embossing these beautiful flowers before applying the powders worked so well.
