Merry Christmas card for PTI November Blog Hop

It's been too long since I've made a card for a PTI Blog Hop! Now that I've got my Christmas card supplies out and busy creating I was able to join in this month. I love the inspiration provided for the November hop:

Gorgeous! I will likely use this color scheme again - it's become one of my most favorite non-traditional color schemes for Christmas.
I worked on a few different designs before coming up with my final one - most of my decision was mostly based on the fact that I do not own tropical teal ink - (GASP!) - I only have the card stock. So that changed what I wanted to do.  Here's the final result.

I went for a very simple design. I knew I wanted to use In the Meadow - it is a timeless stamp set in my eyes. I went with a Hawaiian Shores card base, the tree is in Tropical Teal, the carriage is in silver mirror card stock and the sentiment is stamped in Simply Chartreuse.  I did cover the tree with Wink of Stella and then added the sequins. The background is an old piece of patterned vellum I had - it looks like it's snowing - perfect!

Thanks for visiting! Happy Thanksgiving!

  3. This is gorgeous! In the Meadow is one of my favourite sets, too. You should add another pic from a different angle that highlights the silver mirror card stock. In this pick, it looks red to me, though it still looks great.
